FABRICS: 

Home Decor fabrics such as light to medium weight canvas, twill, velvet and other fabrics can be used. Consider that heavy fabrics will be harder to ruffle. In this case, it may be preferable to shorten the ruffle. 

Fabrics that are too thin are not recommended. The potential lumps and bumps of some pillow forms are often accentuated by thin fabrics.
