The River Pencil Pouch is meant to carry your essentials for lighter travel with your favorite book, journal, or even a laptop. The angled front pocket holds a few pens and your phone for easy access while the zippered pocket creates more secure storage. Add extra embellishments such as embroidery or labels to add a personal touch.

FABRICS:
Main: Mid weight woven fabrics such as quilting cotton, canvas, some PUL and some Vinyls. Woven fabrics with MINIMAL stretch may be used but must be interfaced specifically where the zipper will be applied.
Lining: Light to midweight fabrics such as polyester lining, quilting cottons, etc.
Stabilizer: Mid weight fusible interfacing such as Pellon SF-101
NOTES:
- Heavier fabrics do not require the use of interfacing/stabilizer on the main pouch pieces.
NOTIONS:
- #3 Zipper: 7” (longer zippers can be used and then trimmed during construction)
- 1/2” - 3/4” button OR decorative snap
- 1” elastic
- Optional: pre-made piping or a piece of cording/yarn to make your own

Bag (based on 45” fabric width): 3/8 yd
Interfacing (based on 20” width): 1/2 yd if interfacing all pieces
