Lovely pattern!
I have yet to make this but have gone over the instructions so far. The tutorial is wonderfully put together and should be a breeze to make once I get the chance to sew it up.
The Raven is a dress or shirt with a dropped shoulder and scoop back that is both trendy and suitable for comfortable everyday wear. Add a short or long ruffle or leave it simple. Make a top with split hem or a dress with elastic waist for easy pull on. There are three sleeve options and an optional tie around the waist for a belted look. For the back, choose a simple band, ties or a raised scoop. This pattern is recommended for woven fabrics, however the dress can be made with lightweight knits as well.

Recommended fabrics:
Light to medium-weight quilting cottons, rayons, voiles,. Lightweight knits such as double brushed poly or cotton jersey knit can be used for the dress.
Notions:
- 1/4” elastic (for dress and long sleeves)
- Small piece of interfacing (for simple band)

Raven Dress/Top
I love this dress! I made it in a knit fabric for my 12 yo daughter and she looks beautiful in it! My 16 yo daughter is disappointed the pattern doesn't go up to her size. :) I'm looking forward to making it in a solid woven fabric with a different back option next time. The pattern is very nicely drafted and I had no troubles following the clear instructions. I ran into a hitch when my printer wouldn't centre the pdf pattern on the page (leaving me with only two borders). Sherri was quick to reply to my email for help and solved my problem in no time! I couldn't be happier with my experience sewing my first pattern from Sofiona Designs.
