This winter mitt pattern features simple lines and room for your own personal creativity on the mitt back’s blank canvas. (A great spot to add beading, your own piecing for a quilted look, embroidery, etc.). The thumb pieces are designed with an invisible dart, allowing more space for the thumb pad. An optional leather/faux leather pad can be added to the front section for extra durability. Available with either a simple elastic wrist cuff, or an additional second inner cuff these mitts are sure to be a hit!

Fabrics:
MAIN FABRIC:
Mid.-Heavy weight non-stretch fabrics such as wool, fleece, soft shell, coating fabrics, etc.
LINING:
Sherpa or fleecy fabrics that will add warmth and some bulk.
Warning: Choosing thinner fabrics for the lining will result in a mitt that feels larger while worn.
INNER CUFF (for optional double cuff):
Cuffing or ribbed fabric with decent recovery.
LEATHER PAD:
Leather, Faux Leathers, etc. that are not prone to extreme fraying.
Notions:
- 1/2” elastic
- double sided fusible interfacing (leather pad option only)
- fabric marker/chalk (will be used on WRONG side of main fabric)
